“Daddy isn’t here to walk you down the aisle. I don’t remember much about him, E, but I know that he would have been here to walk you down this aisle if he could. I want to step in his place and walk you down the aisle and give you away.”
“You’ve walked this journey with just the two of you alone… I’m,” he cleared his throat and looked down at CJ, “We’re not letting you walk alone again… I got ya’ll.”
“So many things are uncertain when it comes to our daughter right now, but I’m certain of one thing, and that’s that she was made in love. I love you, Erin Delgato.”
“Tell that nigga that I’m his fucking daddy…. I run shit. He doesn’t fucking eat unless I say he do.”
“Any real man would never put his hands on you, or make you think that you’re not enough. It may hurt now, but you’re better off without him in the long run.” We all snapped our necks toward Big Mike.
“This is why I’m going to continue to give you the world. You deserve that shit, Erin… you hear me?” “I don’t need the world. I just need you, Capone.”
Erin was my comfort, the reason I was put on this earth. I was meant to be her person – her husband. Nothing brought me greater joy than knowing I was coming home, and she would be there waiting for me. She was my heart.
When you found your one, you needed to treat them the way they deserved to be treated.
Her love was intense and if you weren’t man enough, it would be too much for you.
She needed the right kind of man to match her energy on how she loved.
She forgot that I don’t play fair, and I damn sure don’t play checkers. I play for your life, and I play chess.
