I replied, “The terrorists can’t beat us through acts of terror. They can hurt us, and sometimes wound us very seriously and painfully, but they cannot beat us. “The terrorists murder women, children, and innocent people and think it’s legitimate. “They will defeat us only if they manage to make us think like them, like the terrorists, that killing women, children, and innocent people is legitimate. And I will do everything so as not to let them beat us.”
