I’m all about healthy coping mechanisms like completely ignoring my feelings and running away from my problems. I should write a self-help book.
“Excuse me, m’lady, if you must know, in the past four hundred years since my argument with the second-story window, I have only had one woman in my life, unless you count Moon.”
“It doesn’t look too bad,” Ambrose says as we all stand around the zodiac mosaic in the morning sunlight. “You can’t see it,” Edward points out. “I know, but I’m trying to think positively.”
The ghosts run a bubble bath for me and carry me into the bathroom (it takes all three of them, and it was more of a ‘drag’ than a ‘carry’ – they aren’t quite solid enough for that kind of effort yet. But I appreciated the gesture).
“And because not all tears are ones of sadness.”
