If this were a fiction, I would scold myself for telling too much, and at the wrong time, and in the wrong order. A breathless and and and. Unable to handle so many spinning plates, I would cap my pen and begin again. The story would unfold in a simpler way, with clarified motives and a neat chronology, a logic of time and distance, and not the wild crunch of coincidence that it truly was.
