For instance, in 2012, a young man moved to Utah with his new wife and baby to attend Brigham Young University. His bishop recommended he see Jodi for therapy. This turned out to be a terrible mistake. Without any proof, Jodi accused her client of being an abuser, and violated patient confidentiality by reporting him to BYU’s Honor Code office as a sexual predator. She also reported him to the church. The fallout was brutal. The man was kicked out of BYU and the church. His marriage fell apart—the very thing he’d gone to Jodi for help with.
