In the end, it would always be me and her. She was the queen to the kingdom I was building. She would never fall in love with me. No, she’d hate me when she found out my plan for her. When I dragged her back to Dansport to keep her as mine forever, she’d cry.
"You don’t understand how deep my needs run, Muse. You have no idea how dark my desires are."
"So, when I say you're my first, I don't just mean the first kiss. I mean the first sunrise, the first light that dispelled the darkness, and the first warmth that filled the cold spaces within. You're my first in every sense, Madison, and I wouldn't want it any other way."
We were two deeply hurt individuals who kept hurting people to find our way back to each other. We were the villains in our stories, the outcasts never likable enough to earn redemption. Yet we both did it because of the trauma we'd experienced and the pain that followed.
Because even villains, in their quest for redemption, could rewrite their stories and find their own versions of happily ever after.
"Madison, from the moment I first laid eyes on you, there was no one else. Our journey hasn't been a straight path; we've navigated through uncharted waters, weathered storms, and emerged stronger. Each step, every challenge, and every triumph has shaped us into who we are today—two imperfect beings perfect for each other."
