“Take that pain and forge it into something fierce, something powerful, something real, Rosa. Make it drive you or it will break you.”
“And let them watch you hunt me, lie for me, kill for me and fuck me before finally hurling me on to the back of my cousin and ensuring I escaped? Good luck explaining that to the FIB,” I taunted and Cain’s face paled.
um... yeah. He forgets that he completely break all rules for her. maybe not for everyone else but definitely for her.
I was a creature made of malicious design raised in a house of hatred then given a home bursting with love. I was brutal and powerful, fragile and fickle. I was a thousand unheard wishes and one potent demand. This world hadn’t offered me a place when I was born but I had carved out one for myself regardless. I was my scars and my pain, my honour and my love. I was a Wolf and a loner. I was a mate twice over, a lover more times still, a prisoner and yet freer than most Fae I’d ever met because in my heart I knew who I was and what I demanded from this life which was so prone to wickedness. I

“You see, I’m a man of many boxes. All of them stored inside me, some full of clowns and others stuffed with knives. But this one here that you’ve broken open just now, that one’s my darkest dealing, wild girl. I only open that one when I’m about to kill, you understand? I will bleed them out for you, cut down each enemy that stands along the path to your Lion. Because I will wage wars and raze hell to see you smile again.”
“I think sometimes you see me like no one else quite does,” she whispered. “You see the lesions on my heart, Sin Wilder.” “That’s where I love you deepest, Rosa,” I growled and she leaned into me at last.
“Old long Johnson had a farm,” Sin whisper-sung under this breath. “E-I-E-I-O. And on that farm he had a Cain.” He tossed a glance over his shoulder at me, a wicked glint in his eyes. “E-I-E-I-O. With a bitch-bitch here, and a bitch-bitch there. Here a bitch, there a bitch, everywhere a little bitch.”
“Has Jerome pulled through on any intel?” I asked Sin who shook his head. “Nothing. All he said was that he has the full layout of the compound, the entrance points to the island and the movements of around sixty boats which have recently docked at the island – along with a count of how many Fae departed them. It’s as if he didn’t even try.”
She would fight for me just as I would fight for her- I frowned as that thought stalled me, my gaze falling to the full moon mate mark on my left wrist. She wasn’t giving up, so why the fuck was I? I may not have been her Lion any longer, but I was still marked as her mate. She still deserved to have me do everything in my power to return to her.
“I’ll follow you into death before I steal you away from your Lion, wild girl,” he swore. “We leave with Roary in tow or we step through The Veil at his side – no more running away.”
“You’re a force of fucking nature, Rosalie Oscura. I think back on every moment with you and wonder at which point I might have saved myself from the madness of you. But I can’t find one. From the second I brought you into the prison, snarling and smiling with equal finesse, I think you held me captive. So I might as well admit that I’m lost to you at this point. My fate is in your hands. And if that fate requires this oath from me then fine. You can have it. I won’t make you run from him a second time. I’ll be by your side to see this through, come death or dawn.”
“You sound like my old professor, and he was always such a sore loser too,” Hornrider said, his grin only widening. “Nice name by the way,” I commented and his casual smile dropped a little. “Someone else signed me up when I first came here and you can’t change it once it’s assigned,” he grumbled. “Sure,” I said
I think we could use our own space,” she said. “It would be nice to have my own bedroom,” Hastings commented and Rosalie gave him the side-eye. “We can get you your own water bowl with your name on it,” I said brightly. “Well, er, I could just use a glass,” Hastings hedged. “Er, Jack…” Cain started.
Despite Sin’s more sadistic tendencies, him and Leon seemed to be on a wavelength that made me realise they were pretty similar people. The chaos they caused when they were together was unmatched,
yes, they're my kind of characters. I just love them. and Seth. even though Rhyder is still my favorite
