You Between the Lines

You can take the girl out of high school, but you can’t take the fractured remnants of an obsessive crush out of the girl.

“But I know my parents’ marriage isn’t working out because they’re too different. They’re from totally separate worlds. I need to find someone who is like me. It’s always so strange to know you’re saying things you wouldn’t say sober and yet literally be unable to stop yourself.

It’s an awful habit—viewing yourself via the lens of another—but
