Green Light

The one who awakened me to a heaven I’d never known could exist, only to force me into the cages of my own nightmarish hell. The catalyst to my downfall.

This life holds the promise of heaven for those naive enough not to realize we were subjected to hell long ago.

When you really love people, you deal with their dirt and let it become you.

My heart clenches in my chest, a sickness overtaking me. With every cell of my being, I just know that from here on out, no matter what happens, I can never lose her again. I won’t lose her. I’ll destroy myself before it ever comes to that.

And I don’t. Because no matter how we got here; the tainted history between us, the deceptions, the pain, and the healing—we fought to be here, and we refuse to let go.
