Jaxson lifted the tray and set it down in front of me. “I made you breakfast in bed.” “That’s so sweet.” I reached for the lid. “I’d like to remind you,” he said quickly, “I can’t cook.” I lifted the lid and had to clap my hand over my mouth to cover my laugh. “Jaxson, everything on this tray is burned.”
