The Proverbs don’t just land in the middle of the Old Testament like some unexpected aliens from outer space. No, they grow out of Exodus 20. They take the general principles of God’s Law, the Ten Commandments, and give them eyes, ears, hands, and feet. The Law comes alive in the Proverbs as we see what obedience to the Law looks like in daily life—in the home, in business, in relationships, and so on.
