AN ENTRANCE INTO JESUS’ HOME
The promised land was but an imperfect foreshadowing of the Lord’s ideal home and dwelling place.
The law therefore gives us a description of Jesus’ present holy habitation,
the law gives believers “a clearer sight of the need they have of Christ, and the perfection of His obedience.
The law therefore exalts Jesus in the believer’s mind and heart.
We elevate Him when we value the life He has created. We applaud Him when we tell the truth and spread His truth. We exalt Him when we find Him more satisfying than any earthly possession.
The purpose of the law was to make Israel visibly different, in such a way that would draw interest and comment, and essentially bear witness to the God they worshipped.44
So it is with us today. And the more we use the ten methods outlined above, the more Jesus will be magnified and honored in us and in the world.
Let us therefore use the law as a friend, not as an enemy.
Let us use it as God intended, to magnify and honor Jesus in our lives.

THE FIRST PREACHER
The New Testament reveals that Enoch was also a preacher of Christ.
There were things He did not know—even divine things.18
the deeper you go into understanding the Old Testament, the closer you come to the heart of Jesus.
WE SING TO JESUS WITH THE PSALMS
That means that when we address God or sing of Him, we are worshipping not just God in general or the Father in particular but the Son of God and the Spirit of God also. When we sing to our Shield, our Rock, our Shepherd, our Judge, our Refuge, our Fortress, our Creator, our Healer, our Provider, or our Redeemer, we sing to all three persons of the Godhead, all equal in power and glory.2
We find hearts dissatisfied with human words, feasting on divine promises.
We find weakness in the flesh and longings for more of the Holy Spirit.
