“This is Tobes. He’s a little evil.” He glares at him. “Don’t test my patience.” “And a little touchy,” Base adds. “He doesn’t like me very much because I’ve made both his daughter and his son come.”
Getting into the Reznikov manor was easy. With my mask on—thankfully saved from my car—I’m wearing a fitted black suit for the first time ever, so no one can recognize me. Base is wearing a Batman mask, because he’s an idiot.
“Tobes. Help me,” Base says into the phone pressed to his ear. “The siblings are fucking in the backseat, and I’m certain the mute just spoke.”
Silently laughing, I shove my hands into my pockets and watch him walk up to a girl around the same age as him. She has dark hair, and given that she looks exactly like her mother, I know who Isaac is attempting to flirt with. A presence comes up beside me, a beer to hand. “Keep your son away from my daughter,” Kade warns. I smirk. Because we both know that’s not going to happen. THE END
