On the second day, elaborate preparations had been made to create an orphanage set inside the studio for a scene in which benefactors come to see the unfortunate ones and help them. In one scene, the legendary actress Savitri was supposed to feed Kamal, who was playing an orphan. The shot was all set and on hearing ‘Action’, she smilingly offered him some food.
