ChatGPT also seems to believe that “gossip” is synonymous with women and the gay community. Phrases like “oh honey” and “let me spill the tea” come directly from drag culture.

Unintentionally, ChatGPT reinforces through its diction that gossip is a tool of the less privileged. You would never hear someone speaking like this in a court of law, in a boardroom, or even on a football field.

They don’t need gossip, but we do, and in that way, gossiping is always a reminder that we are mortal, that our lives are short and delicate.

But that is exactly why most church leaders demonize gossip so strongly from the pulpit, because gossip seeks to hold people to account for their actions.
