I sometimes wondered what it was like to live in his head—to have an entire galaxy tucked away where no one else was invited.

no switch was flipped when you turned into an adult that turned you into a different person; you’re just that same person who has no clue what they’re doing, but with more responsibilities … and you’ve just gotta sink or swim.

Making conversation was such a chore.

All the time, my thoughts just run 24/7 and I can’t escape them.

I have this conspiracy theory that I am already in purgatory and have no recollection of my past life. I am somehow being punished for something I didn’t know I did.
