Sure, plenty of people switched patrons throughout their lifetimes. My sister fluctuated between them like pairs of shoes, sure she’d find the right one eventually when the connection felt right. But that didn’t make the bonds she made with others any less important or strong. A patron bond held a level of trust that could never be bested.
