Jee-zus. One measly stomach pumping and poor Daphne gets Voldemorted?
“A woman isn’t defined by her boyfriends. She’s defined by her achievements. And her shoes.”
And there’s a lot of bitch in you right now.
I feel like too many girls fail to remember one vital truth: we deserve someone who gives us one hundred percent. Half-assed effort isn’t effort. Half- assed love isn’t love. If a man isn’t all in, then we need to be all out.
Your Uncle Fitzy is the king of the doodleheads.”
“I’m in her orbit, man,”
Fuck you very much, Colin Fitzgerald.
That’s the last time his dumb penis goes anywhere near my sacred mouth.
“It’s fuckin’ pizza,”
Summer is in my bed. Not the season. The girl.
“My French girls have got nothing on you,”
But inside, Selena Gomez and I are doing an entire cheerleading routine’s worth of cartwheels and flips.
I ate her out on the pool table, which was hot. She blew me on her California king mattress, and then we snuggled in bed and binged a show about child killers.
It’s her orbit. That damn orbit.
But I don’t give a shit if he had his heart broken by the Queen of fucking England. Nobody talks to or about Summer like that.
“Would you listen to me? We’re not breaking up. It’s not happening, Summer. I don’t give a shit about the job at Orcus Games. I give a shit about you. That bastard was rude to you. He was rude to both of us, and I refuse to work for someone who treats people with disrespect or behaves that way in public. I put him in his place, and if I had the choice, I’d do it all over again, you hear me? Because he was a jackass to you, and I love you.”
“You still don’t get it, do you? You didn’t cost me a job. Kamal Jain cost himself an employee. I’m a good designer. I’ll find something else, I promise. But I’ll never find another you.”
He’s evolving, my sweet-penis man. I’m proud of him.
So yes, Summer is everything.
She’s my muse. My sketches of her are already being transferred onto my computer to create the assets for the new video game I’m designing. She’s my laughter, because everything she says makes me laugh. She’s my trigger, because holy shit do we scream at each other sometimes. I never knew I was capable of expressing raw emotion, didn’t think I even had it in me. She’s my desire, because I can’t take a step without wanting to be inside her. But most of all, she’s my heart.
With a heavy heart, of course, but I’ve gained something I know can heal the pain of the loss. I’ve gained Summer.
“I love you anyway.”
