The book is always better.
We live in a society where too many women tear each other down instead of raising each other up. That’s absurd to me. We need to empower one another, teach future generations of girls that it’s important to stand together. Once upon a time, we had a common goal and a common enemy. We were burning bras and fighting for the right to vote. Now we’re body shaming each other on social media and blaming the mistress if our man cheats.
Summer has this way of completely losing herself in fits of laughter. It usually involves tears, doubling over, and furiously rubbing a stitch in her side. When she laughs, she does it with her entire body and soul. Needless to say, I like provoking that response from her.
First book is always the best.”
She has the kind of smile that makes a man want to start writing very bad poetry. Dazzling and genuine and as beautiful as the rest of her.
“Just because you’re not attracted to me doesn’t mean I’m—” “Not attracted to you?”
I’m gone for this girl. So gone.
“So I’m special.” “Very much so.”
This girl is the best. The goddamn best.
I don’t give a shit if he had his heart broken by the Queen of fucking England. Nobody talks to or about Summer like that.
“I hate this world we live in, Fitzy, where shitty people can get away with shitty things.”
So yes, Summer is everything. She’s my muse. My sketches of her are already being transferred onto my computer to create the assets for the new video game I’m designing. She’s my laughter, because everything she says makes me laugh. She’s my trigger, because holy shit do we scream at each other sometimes. I never knew I was capable of expressing raw emotion, didn’t think I even had it in me.
