or how about "The kumir was Chernobog's idol, carved..." (who edited this, I want to go through and copyedit the awkward and repetitive phrasing so bad)

edit: "By the look on his face, Wayne knew all of that." good god

this is at least the second paragraph I've read that's four sentences in a row of "article subject verbed." stiff and amateur writing, I'm sorry to say

this book is always explaining things twice, once from Roman's thoughts and then again for Finn.

same person speaking this whole time, but three different sets of quotation marks

...epilogues are supposed to happen after the main plot wraps up
