Every Christian would deny these accusations of blasphemy, but every time we use preferred pronouns we are implicitly saying that God, who created the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1), does not have authority to define all things—and that he is not good to do so. We’re saying we are nicer, more merciful, and more compassionate than God.
