The Bible is explicit from the beginning: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen. 1:27). When it comes to gender, we know what the biological and biblical reality is. There is no scientific nor scriptural category for a “gender identity” that is independent from sex. Sex is not a spectrum, and gender is not fluid.
