And just as it’s been from the inception of the church, the Christian responsibility is to take up the cause of the fatherless—and the motherless. We must advocate for their right to a mother and father. We must defend their dignity from conception onward, refusing to accept a world in which tiny image bearers of God are bought, sold, frozen, and discarded.
