The Message

Class ended and we walked out, somewhat stunned by both the content and the device. But in our next session it was made clear that confusion was no excuse. It was a Monday. Dr. Harrell was himself again and before he went into the day’s lecture he offered a firm directive: Don’t you ever, in all your life, let someone say what I said to you on Friday and offer no response.

This was powerful. But it got dropped. How could someone be in a "safe space" and not feel comfortable enough to use his or her voice in said "safe space"?
