For anyone who’s felt unseen.
Men are so easy.
You can’t ever count on a man, but you can always count on the poison that will kill him…or whatever that saying is.
That’s the thing about grief, I guess. It steals the air from your lungs just as you’ve finally figured out how to breathe.
And eventually, things you ignore grow roots too strong, their weeds all but impossible to dig out.
That’s what she is to me: a work of art.
“Just because something looks like freedom doesn’t mean it’s not a cage.”
“It’s amazing how fast you learn to shutter emotions when you’re protecting someone you love.”

Because life’s too short to not hold the ones you love close.
it’s that life can be taken from you in the blink of an eye. Things can mold, and maneuver, and change, and we either learn to adapt, or we go down without a fight.
There’s nothing like death to make you want to live.
