Before she could react, he tossed the head of the largest wolf at her feet as she jumped back from the wolf’s lifeless maw. He didn’t speak, just brushed past her, her eyes glued to the large head of the giant beast that plagued not only them, but nearby towns as well. The smaller Specter, whose hood weighed heavily over their face, set the basket of chamomile they had been harvesting at their feet. Without a word, they disappeared into the town, like a whisper in the wind.
“Because I will raze that city to the ground. I will let it burn just so you can bath in the warmth of its flames. I will do anything you ask of me.”
“You give your forgiveness very easily, wife.” “It’s the humanity still left in me.”
