It’s unfair that these tragic events take a piece of our souls from us. And for some of us, instead of filling those missing parts with something to make us whole again, the grief only settles in and leaves us broken and incomplete.
“You saved me,” he says, the vibrato of his voice slightly uneven. “You saved me from the torment of my past. You’re helping me accept the man I once was, and who I am today. And I would travel this entire galaxy over and over again if it meant I could find you.”
His voice is calm and deep. “Don’t hate those parts of yourself—that darkness inside you, it’s not all of you. There is light, and I see it every time I look at you. All of it together, the darkness and the light, it makes you who you are. Everything that makes you Maven is beautiful to me.” He pauses. “And you are everything to me.”
“You are my sun, and even if I’m millions of miles away, my mind will always be centered around you.” His breath is unsteady. “I love you
