I would have put my money on football.” The group lets out a collective gasp. “That is an insult where we come from, sweetheart,” one of the other guys states. “My sincerest apologies. Please accept this free bottle you were already going to get as restitution,” I tease.
“You’ve been doling out smiles all night, but they aren’t all the same. From what I can see, you have your amused smile, customer service smile, and genuine smile that shines so bright it is as if you can’t keep it off your face.”
“Are body shots on the menu this time?” Morgan chokes on a laugh. “Not on this airline. That’s more of a Spirit thing.”
“When we’re out together, don’t expect to touch any doors.”
“You brought me to a crafts fair?” I ask, a lump caught in my throat. Cataloging my features, I see doubt creep into his expression. “Is that okay? If you don’t want to go, we can do something else. I figured you might be interested in this since you like to crochet.”
I made sure not to post anything of Ralphie, but I may have soft-launched him a tiny bit with his legs in the frame.
“No, Zlatíčko. What’s happening here is so official, it needs its own tux.” My mouth trails up to her ear as I continue to correct her misconceptions. “I apologize if my attempts to be a gentleman didn’t make my intentions clear. Let me do that now.”
“I want you. I want this. Officially, exclusively, whatever the fuck I need to say as long as it means you are mine and no one else’s. Do you understand?”
“I want to fuck you until you forget the name of every other man you’ve ever met, let alone slept with. But I also want you. To hold you. To date you. To fight with you. To listen to you talk about those ridiculous Housewives who pretend to be friends despite hating each other. I want all of you all the time.”
we spend the rest of the night enjoying ourselves while I watch my golden goddess float around the club.
