A typical, boring, wholesome romance. Something that blossomed sweetly, a stable life.
“I can’t stand when you cry,” he said quietly. “The smell burns the inside of my nose.”
I want nothing more than to climb inside your skull and see the world as you do.”
His smokey scent became a comfort rather than a warning.
I would rather do my own dirty work.
What I love is that she too kills people as a service. As a way to help other people. So him killing for her isn’t like?? As jarring as the average mortal girl on a vampire relationship. She’s equally horrified but also like. I could have taken care of that myself
that I was a witch because a man like him could not possibly want a woman who had a nontraditional lifestyle and a pedigree.
I would like to say maybe my presence had changed him, but I might be getting ahead of myself.
I started a few of my own. I felt like I was missing out,”
including my father, keep them as pets often.
“You are the fool if you think I could belong to anyone.”
“You get that light in your eyes whenever you look at something you’re curious about. I wanted to see more of it.”
“Silas was kind enough to bring me,” she awkwardly introduced, circling back to my side. Good girl. “Would you like to join us, Viktor?” No.
It’s him. It’s Luka.
“Eight of the deadliest venoms this world has ever known,”
A vile grin pulled at those pretty lips as her mind raced. Call me lovelorn, but I adored this woman completely.
He was built like any apex predator should be. The sheer power he held, but never used fully on me. I wondered sometimes how much he was holding back.
Opium, absinthe, cocaine, nothing compared to whatever high came from the bite.
I craved to be filled with him in every place I could, wanting more and more of it.
“I want to lose my voice by the time I’m done screaming your name.” There was a psychotic glint in his eye.
His face looked flustered but determined. One might assume that he looked like he was still holding back. Not if I could help it.
“Don’t look at me like that,” he said breathlessly, his skin glistening in the warmth. “I won’t be able to stop.” I gave him a drunken smile, high from venom and lust. “Then don’t,” I moaned, making sure to meet his gaze as I gripped one of my breasts, using my other hand to touch myself above the place he was penetrating.
Clicking bloomed in his throat like a purr,
“How long until they let go?” “Thirty minutes. An hour maybe.” “An hour? No wonder you never use them. Who would want to be stuck with you for an hour?”
“Now tell me about it.” “It was a mistake. It wasn’t the right time.” I picked at my nails. “Speak directly.” He placed his palms over my hands and intertwined our fingers to negate the fidgeting. “I poisoned my father’s assistant.” I hesitated.
From my notes, I could see that his rear fangs contained a painkiller, a muscle relaxant, and an aphrodisiac.
His blood was similar to snake venom that burns away at flesh and causes swelling, though I was already painfully aware of that.
