Taipei could reinforce its economic diversification efforts while also better aligning itself with maritime Southeast Asian states, the concept of a free and open Indo-Pacific, and international law by debunking and refuting maritime claims stemming from China’s infamous South China Sea (SCS) “nine-dash line” (now ten dashes).
