“Doubtful since you’d be there. Why don’t you go ask your girlfriend?” “My what?” “The girl you were making out with earlier. Does she know you’re off flirting with other women?” “Sounds like you were keeping tabs on me tonight. I’m flattered.” I step forward and lower my voice. “She’s not my girlfriend, and I just asked if you wanted to go for a ride on my bike, not my dick. Though…” Her jaw goes slack, and her cheeks flush a pretty pink. “The answer to both of those would be a hard no.”
“Because you told me once that I should fight like hell for my dreams because one of us should get a chance to chase them.” “I was talking about you,” I remind him. His dark, serious gaze locks on me. “I know you were, and I chased mine. I did what I wanted to do, and I don’t regret that it’s over. Now it’s your time. So, fight like hell for
and Knox’s egos. As we follow them out, Knox whispers, “You didn’t tell me the Ken doll would be here.” “You didn’t ask.” He steps in front of me, blocking my path. His hazel eyes spark in warning. “Don’t toy with me, princess. Am I here in some fucked-up game to make him jealous?” “No.” I’m slightly appalled he thinks I’d stoop that low. “I told you, I’m not interested in him.”
than I get in my mouth. Chuckling, he takes the glass back and sets it on the nightstand then disappears. I hope he isn’t leaving. “I just need a minute and then I’ll be ready to make out,” I yell. I’m met with silence. It feels like too much effort to sit up. The next thing I know, I’m being pulled back up to a sitting position. Knox smiles down at me with an expression that seems almost tender.
“Happens to the best of us.” He runs a hand down my hair and pulls me farther onto him so my head is resting over his heart. The steady thump is soothing. I like him so much it actually hurts a little. “I missed you.” A beat passes, and then he says, “I missed you too.” I bury my smile into his chest and wrap my arm around his middle. “Hey, Knox?” “Yeah?” “You’re cuddling.”
“What are you doing Sunday?” he asks. “I have no idea. Why?” His smile turns into a smirk. “I want to take you somewhere.” “Okay.” I don’t even need to know where. I want to be pretty much any place he is. I’m absolutely addicted to kissing him, but I’m also falling for him a little more with every new tidbit I learn.
“This one is yours,” I say as I pat the black and pink dirt bike. “In case that wasn’t obvious.” Some of that fear abates as she looks it over. “This is one of your bikes? I can’t believe Knox Holland owns something with pink on it.” “I don’t. You do.” She turns to face me, brows furrowing. “I bought it for you,” I say, then shift uncomfortably because she looks stunned.
She stands to get off the bike. The movement puts her ass right in my face and my hands move to it without thought. She laughs and sticks it out farther. I swat one perky cheek. I’m going to be hard all day with her looking like she does in her riding gear. And I’m not mad about it one bit.
our helmets weren’t on, I’d kiss the crap out of him. The way his eyes bore into mine I think he’s on the same page. He revs the engine and I instinctively wrap myself around him so I don’t fall off. Knox drives that way, with me staring behind us, chest pressed to his. My heart soars and I feel so light and free, but somehow safe too. He picks up speed and then goes up into a wheelie that makes me squeal. I’m certain I can feel the rumble of his chest against mine as he laughs at me.
“You can have the shower first. I’m going to unload the bikes.” I start for the door. “I don’t think your undies are going to fit.” He doesn’t miss a beat. “Guess you’ll have to go without.”
He doesn’t move and I wonder if maybe I made him wait so long that he doesn’t want to anymore, so I add, “If that’s still what you want.” His brows lift almost comically. “Princess, I’ve been dreaming of fucking you since the first time I saw you in that frilly pink dress and white shoes.” “Really?” He looks me straight in the eye and there’s no hint of teasing or bluffing when he says, “Really, Avery. That day and every day since.”
We’re still a beat, catching our breath. His hands come up around my waist and his forehead drops to my back. It feels like he places a soft kiss on my spine. When he finally pulls out and gets rid of the condom, I work on getting feeling back in my legs. “Ready, princess?” he asks, walking back toward me. His riding pants are still on but undone. “For?” He smirks and sweeps me up and into his arms. “I’m not even close to done with you.”
off the beam before she can protest. “If you really want to practice more after I feed you, then I’ll bring you back and I’ll do more handstands or something while you work out.” Her lips turn up in a weak-ass smile. “I’ll even take my shirt off for extra motivation.” A real smile finally spreads across her face. I’d do just about anything to keep it there.
Knox wraps himself around me like he needs me to keep him upright. Which honestly could be the case at this point. “Feeling good?” I ask him. “Now that I got you all alone I am.” He sways us slowly to the beat. “I thought you would want to celebrate with your friends.” I only promised Quinn I’d stay for one hour, but Knox hasn’t mentioned leaving and I don’t want to pull him away. “I do, but if there’s the option to be alone with you, you can rest assured that’s always the one I’m going to choose.” His words make my chest tighten. “You’re a real smooth talker, Knox Holland.” “Joel,” he says.

“I can’t get enough of you,” he says, eyes so dark and serious that I wonder if he’s thought the words before but is only saying them now because he’s drunk. My throat burns with the need to say well actually, I can’t get enough of you either. In fact, I’m in love with you and wondering if you could possibly reconsider the whole I don’t do serious thing. I, of course, don’t say any of that. Not now and maybe not ever.
love it. Thank you.” I’m already peeling off my shirt to put this one on instead. It smells faintly like him. “You’re welcome.” And then it hits me, “Oh my gosh, their color is pink?” “Neon pink.” I burst into laughter. He makes a noise that’s a mixture of a scoff and a groan. “And black.” I’m laughing so much it’s hard to talk. “You’re going to have to wear pink? This is too good.” His own quiet chuckles join in a second later. “At least now it’ll make me think of you.”
