“Trust me,” he murmurs, leaning closer to me until I can taste his warmth on my lips. “Getting under your skin isn’t deep enough.”

“Now tell me, how fucking beneath you am I really?” “Not even close enough for what I want.”

“Remember this,” he tells me, pointing at the crimson dripping to the floor. “Your body is mine. Your soul is mine. Whatever happens to you happens to me. Especially when I should have been preventing it.”

She looks puzzled as I reach into the cabinet and pull out a hair diffuser, and I grin as I plug it in and gesture for her to sit down.

Oh puhleaseeee

She sits quietly, watching me in the mirror as I carefully manipulate the diffuser, coaxing her curls into a voluminous, fiery crown that seems to defy gravity itself.
