“Ask for it,” she repeated again, that fury sparking once more. “What? You want me to crawl across the floor and beg sweetly from my knees?” “If that’s what you want to do.” “Absolutely not,” she snarled. He shrugged again because now that image was in his head, which was just…fucking fantastic.
Tell me how to love you, kitten, because I’ll pluck stars from the sky and walk through your flames. And when I’ve turned, and this bond we never got to have has faded, I’ll still choose you. I’ll still love you, and it will mean even more because we’re choosing it. We’re not being drawn to each other by some bond gifted by the Fates.”
“But you’re too loyal,” she said in quiet acceptance. “And he is your family.” “He is my family,” he agreed. “But you? You are my light.”
“Tessalyn Ausra, I would sacrifice all the realms and all the stars for you. You are perfectly wild. Perfectly untamed. You were not made to be caged, nor were you made to be a sacrifice for a realm that does not deserve such a gift. You were made to live in the light. Go live, little storm.”
