Since the minute I had laid eyes on her, I knew that even the old Gods would have come to their knees for her.
“You are no caged bird, Soren. It would never suit you,” he said, his voice soft.
“I am The Cursed One, darling, the one they sang about in the old ballads, the one they etched into the now crumbling temple ruins that are littered about all the realms. The cursed son of a god. The one cursed thrice by the Three Sisters of Fates,”

“The Cursed One, he is the answer, he is your end.”
I didn’t respond, but I clung on to him tighter. Thinking just maybe, the longer and harder I held on, that he would love me back the way I loved him.
“If I was capable of love, it would have been you. It will always be you,”
