For me, the most important part of the word Bozakmin is “min,” the root for “berry.” It appears in our Potawatomi words for Blueberry (Minaan), Strawberry (Odemin), Raspberry (Mskadiismin), even Apple (Mishiimin), Maize (Mandamin), and Wild Rice (Manomin).
