In my view, uprisings and insurgencies are not simply reactions but indications of people’s aspirations, dreams, and imaginings of better lives. What are those dreams?

While professional organizations claiming to “represent” the opposition often strengthen unjust systems through participation in them, insurgencies seldom fail to create new visions for freedom.

The capacity of ordinary people to make intelligent decisions in the interests of humanity is continually underestimated.
