At the end of the day, aren’t we all putting on a performance? The gag, is who’s pulling your strings?
When we learn lessons, we think that means that nothing like that will ever happen again. That we experienced it once and we’ll never have to again. I don’t think life is like that; I think it’s actually about experiencing many different versions of the same triggers and it’s your bounce-back rate that proves sufficiency.
every step you take should contribute in some way to those dreams.
KEY TAKEAWAYS Embrace authenticity Perfection is a burden Self-awareness is power
“Visualize yourself not falling off the wall.”
you just want to be seen as beautiful.
There will always be one more thing.
How can you compare people when you don’t even know where you’re going, let alone where they are going? Chileeee.
So we gotta come up with a new plan, because, y’all, I can’t get behind anything that’s gonna leave us with empty pockets, fighting for something that rich people have no problem taking. I’m serious! I gotta be a logical earth sign, because it ain’t gonna work, babes.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean reconciliation, but for your own personal growth and for your own personal power, you have to be able to break down their narrative and not hold your parents in a negative light because, you might not realize it but, it can put a strain on you and your outlook on life, too.
a boundary should be placed because it’s creating an imbalance in your ability to maintain.
you aren’t the person you were anymore. The person who couldn’t survive doesn’t exist; they can’t exist in you because you survived what they could not.
Continue to be a disco ball, shining in certain places while others exist in the shade. I am one, and so are you.
YOU DID SOMETHING THAT YOU REGRET AND THAT’S OKAY; YOU LEARNED SO MUCH. THIS SHOWS THAT YOU ARE IN FACT A GREAT PERSON.
YOUR PATH TO HAPPINESS IS SPECIFIC TO YOU. IT’S NOT DEFINED BY A LIST OF THINGS; IT’S MORE SO YOUR AUTHENTICITY.
Practicing affirmations out loud can help us to unlearn and train our brain to work for us, not against us.
COUNTERACT: When faced with criticism, take a step back, breathe, and remind yourself that objective thinking is key to surviving and thriving. Since opinions are subjective, it’s how we reframe them that gives us power—so choose to tell yourself empowering stories, not disempowering ones.
In what ways do you currently compare yourself to others, and how does this impact your self-perception?
redirect the focus to how far you have come. Remind yourself of all the ways that you have grown and will continue to grow.
Things have happened to me, but I refused to let my life stay in the genre of drama or horror, and I know I have the choice to actually make my life a deep romance or a comedy.
