Were these deranged criminal minds the result of some sort of environmental abnormality or were such people simply born evil?

On one hand, she was clearly a product of a depraved, abusive environment so that would indicate nurture. But to react so viciously, to become so hostile and psychotic, I would have to say that’s more nature than nurture.
