Every time he came to a paragraph he wasn’t sure contributed to the book, he marked it and with a block move transferred it to the end, after the last page. When he finished he found that he had transferred dozens of paragraphs and that only one or two, in modified form, deserved a place in the text. It’s a useful strategy. I’ve tried it and it works.
