In the past, I’ve willingly leaned on Emmy, but I just didn’t know how to right now. I felt like my emotions were too jumbled to even begin to talk them through. And if I was being honest with myself, I didn’t want to hurt Emmy’s feelings. I didn’t want to have to tell her that part of the reason I was sad was because of her.
