I ventured out one day to take Matteo to the doctor to have his tonsils and adenoids checked, as he is prone to strep throat and is a “heavy breather,” as they say. After a quick peek at both, the doctor told us that he would indeed benefit from having them removed. He said the heavy breathing along with his snoring would cease, the slightly dark circles under his eyes would disappear, and his sense of taste would be improved by the removal of his adenoids.
