“Here.” Gabriel took hold of Ryder’s wrist, moving his hand a little lower and Ryder’s eyes widened as he felt it kick again. We all looked to Elise and my heart thrashed with a potent energy that made it feel like it was going to burst.

“Pity me, Ryder. Pity meee.” My Charisma washed from my flesh and he sighed, patting my back and giving me a little of the attention I needed to calm down.

“We had to teach Ryder how to be a person again,” Leon barrelled on as if he hadn’t spoken. “I remember one time, our old professor locked me and him in a shed on campus for detention and cast a spell that meant we had to power share to get out. That was the first time Ryder admitted he loved me.” “What?”
