Gwenna had been raised on the Islands, trained among men and women who made a daily habit of the impossible, and it was the most astounding thing she’d ever seen.
“And what about me?” she demanded quietly. “How do I win? You don’t care at all about that, do you?”
“And what do I care,” she asked, voice dropping to a whisper, “about humanity?”
