The Proper Distinction Between Law and Gospel (ESV)

In Mark 1, 15 we read: Repent and believe in the Gospel. “Repent ye” is plainly a Law utterance. In the preaching of our Lord this comes first, being followed by the Gospel summons: “Believe the Gospel.”
