“You are stunning. The heavens have nothing on you, Elouise. You are…” I try to think of the right word. “Everything,” I whisper on an exhale.
“I do. I love you. I’ve loved you since the moment I laid eyes on you when we were kids playing where we weren’t supposed to. Here. Right here. It all started with you in this exact spot, and Elouise, I want it to always be us. We can’t be together if we choose to stay here.”
I’ll find you. In any dimension. In any hell. In any life. I’ll travel the stars even if it means embracing your bones.”
“What is it, Louie? My Light, tell me,” I beg of her,
When the sun touches the sky, I think of her, and when the moon rises and the sun sets, I dream of her.
“Only death could stop me.”
“How’s My Light today?”
You marked me for all to see and then you didn’t come back for me.”
“Because if they aren’t of me, I’ll kill every person who walks into your dreams.”
“Stay behind me,” he informs me, stretching out his arm to keep me safe. I shove his arm away. “No. I’m either beside you or in front of you, but never behind.”
“I don’t want you to know what I became. I don’t want you to know how horrible of a man I am. I don’t want you to know how my werewolf has changed. I am not the same man from when we were teens. I’m broken.”
“I love you because of those things. I love you for who you were and who you are now. I know you aren’t the same. I don’t expect you to be as I’m not either. Life makes us harder, Aziel, but we don’t have to be with each other.”
“All your scars, all your pain, you don’t have to carry them alone again. I love you because I see you, Aziel. Not the werewolf, not the fighter, not the killer, but you.”
“Are you thirsty, My Light?” He purrs, teasing my fangs by rubbing his stubble against them. “Go ahead. Take what is yours because I survived him just for you.”
The moon has nothing on you, Louie. You are and will forever be, my favorite moonlight.”
