In the story, Wade discovers a hidden message in the text of Anorak’s Almanac by finding notched letters hidden throughout the text. Ready Player One has notched letters hidden throughout the text, and if you find them and write them down in order, they spell out a website address that was used to host a contest to promote the release of the READY PLAYER ONE paperback.
