Shadow leadership is modeled in the scriptures. When the brother of Jared told the Lord that there was no light in the vessels, the Lord could have said, “Here are some rocks that I’ve touched to create light. Go put them in your boats.” Instead, the Lord said, “What will ye that I should do that ye may have light in your vessels?” (Ether 2:23). The brother of Jared came up with the solution.
