In our Aaronic Priesthood quorums, we need to move from “puppet leadership” to “shadow leadership.” Shadow leadership is more difficult for the adult adviser than puppet leadership, but it is the best way to teach a young man to learn and magnify his duty. In shadow leadership, the adult adviser should advise, remind, encourage, and train in private. The actors in the “public” performances (quorum meetings and presidency meetings) should be the young men. Bishop H.
