A young man that learns to lead and take upon him the burdens of those he serves will strengthen his testimony as he sees the Lord’s hand manifest in the lives of those people. He will see the Church in action, under the direction of the priesthood keys. In our quorums and in our homes, are we practicing shadow leadership or puppet leadership? Are we empowering our sons or paving the way on an easy path? Never do for a young man what he can do for himself. We as adults should train youth how to lead, and then we should stand back.
