I spent so long wishing for death, but now that I’ve had a taste of freedom, I want nothing more than to live. I choose to live.
Still, that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach won’t leave. I want to claw my skin off. I want to scream until my throat goes hoarse. I want to incinerate his touch embedded into muscle and bone. Into the very center of my being. That man is dead. But deep down, I know he has forever broken me.
There are people in this world that draw your awareness without explanation. You notice them, even if you don’t understand why. Could be physical attraction. Could be something deeper—a recognition of someone’s soul.
Was it fucked up that I find myself attracted to him when I know he likes to play hide the knife in the human body?
“Batman,” I wheeze. “Wait, shit. Redo. I’m your worst nightmare. Does that sound more threatening?”
Cain slowly pushes another finger inside of me. “I like that I can set you off, too. I want you moaning and rambling nonsense every time I pleasure you.” “Yeah?” My dick starts to stiffen again. “Yeah. My needy little thief.”
Cain soon takes control. He holds my head firmly as he fucks into my mouth. “That’s it, beautiful boy. Take me deep. Look at you. Fucking perfect on your knees for me. Do you want my cum?”
“Fuck. Ezra.” Cain groans. “You were made to ruin me. Swallow all of it. Not a drop wasted. Need you filled up.”
Cain works his tongue from my hole up to the tip of my hard cock and back down again. He repeats this path until I’m shuddering with need, and then he spears his tongue inside of me. “Oh my god. Who came up with this? They deserve… shit, they deserve a medal.” I moan as he thrusts his tongue in and out. “If we would all just… Jesus, if everyone ate ass, we’d have world peace.”
I startle at the figure sitting in the common area in the dark. Rev innocently sips at a cup of coffee on the couch, a book held in his other hand. Cain rolls his eyes. “You’re depraved, you know that?” “What?” Rev says, lowering his mug from his mouth. “You’re holding the fucking book upside down,” Cain says, and I giggle when Rev looks at the cover with feigned surprise. Then he breaks into a grin. “Caught red-handed. Sorry, I heard the commotion. Got caught up in the show.” My cheeks heat, and Rev gives me a wink. Cain flips him off and slaps my ass hard enough to launch me down the hall.

“Cain?” I murmur, pulse quickening. “Yeah, baby?” “You feel like home to me.”
“You’re mine. No one is ever going to fucking touch you again.” “Yours.” Ezra nods, cradling my face in his hand. “But you belong to me, too.”
“I know you aren’t mine by blood, but that never did matter to me, you know that?” Jakey says. “My boy went to heaven, and I got to pull you out of hell.”
Rev starts his countdown. Ezra squirms beneath me until I drop my mouth to his ear and whisper, “Marry me.” His body goes slack, and his eyelids flutter. “What?” I grin down at him. “You heard me.” Rev continues his countdown in the background, but the cheering from my employees fades away as I stare down at the man I want more than anything else in this world. The little thief that broke into my building and stole my heart.
